IMFB inaugurates Beginner’s
school and Team Leader’s College
In line with its commitment to improve capacity of its staff and develop
manpower within the microfinance industry, IMFB has instituted Beginner’s
School and Team Leader’s college for its employees. The Team Leader’s
college which was inaugurated in November, 2008 and is currently in its
6th stream was set up to train employees who have Bachelor’s/HND
degree and have been identified to possess leadership skills. Graduates
of the college are placed on fast track career and posted to lead teams
in the branches. The Beginners school which is scheduled to commence in
July 2009, would ensure that every new staff of the back understands the
rudiments of microfinance, banking and the values of the Organization.

• IMFB receives 5 diamonds for transparency in reporting from the
Mix Market Platform.
The Microfinance Information eXchange, an International Organization based
in Washington DC has awarded Integrated Microfinance Bank 5 Diamonds for
excellence in promoting the transparency of the microfinance industry.
The award of 5 diamonds is the highest level of rating that can be achieved
by any microfinance institution on the MixMarket Platform.

IMFB Receives $1.4 Million US Dollars Grant
From The World Bank
The Federal Government of Nigeria/World Bank Micro Small Medium Enterprise
Project through its Project Management Unit (PMU) has approved a $1.4
Million USD grant to Integrated Microfinance Bank (MFB) Limited.
The grant is being made to assist IMFB in establishing and expanding the
reach of its services and putting them on sustainable basis with the technical
assistance of ECIAfrica Consulting South Africa (a subsidiary of DAI Group).
IMFB Becomes a State Bank
The management of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has approved the grant
of a state MFB license to Integrated Microfinance Bank (MFB) Limited.
With this approval, IMFB becomes the first licensed Microfinance Bank
in Nigeria to attain a State Bank status. The Bank can operate its service
in all the 36 states of the federation including the Federal Capital Territory.
IMFB currently has its operation in 5 states of the Federation, namely
Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Kano and Kaduna.
